WildFire Network Outreach to Spain, Summer 2018

Updated: Jul 8, 2020

This was the third visit of Eyam Parish church to Alcala la Real in 3 years. Our mission was to “Raise the joy level in the town and to help the local church to connect with their community, in order to make disciples". We took a team of 21 which included two Italians, an Englishman from Ireland, a Spaniard from Liverpool, a Chilean girl from YWAM Nuneaton and a South African from New Zealand - from 7 different churches. Our team ranged in ages from 6 - 65+.

In the mornings we participated in leading English Conversational Classes. Fifty people from the town attended during the week. In the evenings we took circus skills into the park for people to try, plus crafts, balloon modeling, face painting and illusions. We also did a social action task to bless the town. One man who had come to the park each evening had seen the way the team of all ages and nationalities worked and interacted together and responded by recognizing only Jesus could bring about such unity.
